Just as God told Joseph: “Son of David, do not be afraid!” (Mt 1:20), so he seems to tell us: “Do not be afraid!”
- Patris Corde, Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter
Worldly Father and Protector of the Holy Family
On December 8th, 2020, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of St. Joseph as patron of the universal church, Pope Francis proclaimed the Year of St. Joseph.
The men of St. Joseph's Journeymen strive to emulate St. Joseph's strength, virtue, holiness, and obedience to God.
“The greatness of Saint Joseph is that he was the spouse of Mary and the father of Jesus. In this way, he placed himself, in the words of Saint John Chrysostom, 'at the service of the entire plan of salvation.'" - Patris Corde
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident.
- Psalm 27:3
